Avoid Stage Fear During Presentation

In last blog we found about how to avoid stage fright before presentation and today my blog is on how to avoid stage fear during presentation.

To stay in control during your talk and to engage your audience, follow these steps for effective performance:

Ø  Every time when you are giving presentation begin with pause. Take some time to make yourself comfortable. Do not start instantly otherwise you can make mistakes.

Ø  You should try to make eye contact with audience, if u think that audience is large then pick two three individuals from every corner and assume that you are talking with them but don’t ignore other audience.

Ø  If you are performing on a big stage then you should try to move naturally and casually. Do not remain glued to the stage. Do not play with your clothes or do not put your hands in pockets.

Ø  When you are about to start, present your first sentense from memory without looking onto your presentation. It will increase your confidence and people will think that you are not nervous and you know everthing what you are about to say.

Some people speak to rapidly and they show their nervousness and make difficult for audience to understand what they want to express. So try to put the brakes on while you are speaking. (anxietycoach, 2014)
